The acceptance limits used when hydrometers, density meters and thermometers are verified — every 6 months, against a master instrument or by cross-verification between 3 instruments.
A reading is accepted when it stays within ±the limit — against the master instrument, or as the spread between three cross-verified instruments. Defaults are ±0.5 kg/m³ and ±0.5 °C; set them to the limits in your own JIG documentation. Changing them affects new records only — every record keeps the limit it was judged against.
